Introduction of Venerable Dekhung Gyaltsey Tulku Rinpoche

Venerable Dekhung Gyaltsey Tulku Rinpoche is a highly revered teacher of the Karma Kagyu tradition.

Rinpoche received his highest Buddhist philosophical education as an Acharya from Karma Sri Nalanda University, Rumtek, Sikkim, India. He has been instrumental in managing the overall welfare of Rumtek Monastery, the main seat of His Holiness the Seventeenth Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, and the other peripheral Karma Kagyu monasteries in Sikkim.

Rinpoche is fluent in Tibetan and Mandarin and is currently learning English. He teaches extensively in Sikkim, Malaysia and Australia.

His special ability to heal with Tibetan and Chinese medicine and acupuncture, his profound wisdom and limitless compassion make him invaluable to anyone requiring his treatment and guidance.


The activities of Venerable Dekhung Gyaltsey Tulku Rinpoche 

With the blessing of His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa, Venerable Dekhung Gyaltsey Tulku Rinpoche resides at Rumtek Monastery in Sikkim, the holy seat of His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa.  

In Sikkim, Rinpoche in his limitless compassion, supports and helps old age people and disadvantaged children tirelessly. He also generously offers his support to dharma retreat practitioners. Families from all over Sikkim have received dharma guidance and Tibetan medical assistance from Rinpoche.  

Around the world, Rinpoche wisely organizes opportunities for people to support each other. Through his visits to Australia and Asian countries, Rinpoche brought Buddhist teachings to different corners of the world. Assisting all people to realise their innate potential capability and Buddha nature and selflessly dedicating prayers towards the welfare of beings and world peace are part of the aspirations and principal activities of Rinpoche.
